Andy D’Antonio, piano, early childhood piano, holds degrees from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Fordham University and Pacific Lutheran University. His primary teachers on piano included Nadine Shank, Andrew Axelrod and Amy Grinsteiner. He teaches at the UMass Amherst and CMSS. In addition to degrees in music, Andy holds a master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education, and focuses on using music as therapy for disabilities. Andy has given dozens of recitals and performances throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. As a promoter of contemporary music, he has commissioned and premiered several works, by composers such as by Robert Hansler, Salvatore Macchia, Mara Penatzer, Jazier Giles and Ben Wylie.
