CMSS is pleased to present the internationally acclaimed Apple Hill String Quartet in concert on Sunday January 27 at 2pm as part of the CMSS Classical Chamber Series. The Quartet will be joined by the pianist Mikael Darmanie, and the group will play works by Gabriel Fauré, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Florence Price. The CMSS Classical Chamber Series is sponsored in part by St. Germain Investment Company.
Since its founding in 2007, the Apple Hill String Quartet, based in Nelson, New Hampshire, has earned praise around the world for its concerts presenting interpretive mastery of traditional repertoire – as well as for world premieres and commissioned pieces. “The Apple Hill String Quartet is a wonderful group beloved by many in the Pioneer Valley. We are thrilled to have them play in our beautiful Robyn Newhouse Hall,” said Andy D’Antonio, the Classical Chamber Series Organizer.
This concert is part of a series running from September through April on Sundays at 2pm at Robyn Newhouse Hall. CMSS and Robyn Newhouse Hall are wheelchair accessible and free concert parking is available at CMSS’ Stockbridge Street parking lot.
